Too Much... Too Little... Just Right....

How do you know when the perfect outfit is pieced together? "Does this match with that? Is this shirt too much for these shoes? Should I wear a hat?" When I think too much about what I want to wear, I sometimes ask myself questions like these. Putting together an outfit should not be this hard. You never want to go overboard and you surely do not want to make an understatement. The million dollar question: How do I find the perfect balance?

Here's how most people would guide you.

First things first, you have to know what type of look you're going for. There's Casual, Formal, Semi-casual yada yada yada. Next, you have to choose articles of clothing that you're comfortable wearing. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try new things, - it's always great to spice up your style every once in a while-, what I am saying is that you should wear something that fits the climate and feels good. Actual comfort. After all of that, you put an outfit together with clothes that match. Put on some pants that would go great with that shirt, match the shoes and accessories, and voila! You have the perfect outfit!

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! (Well mostly wrong)

It would be pretty hard for me to tell you what the perfect outfit for yourself would be, because well, I'm not you. I don't know your style, the things you like or things you don't like. The only things that I recommend you take from up there would be choosing comfort and spicing up your style.

Style is unique to each person. Of course our style is influenced by "fashion gurus", if that's what you want to call them, but believe it or not, only you can put the best outfit together for yourself. Don't get me wrong, I'm a heavy advocate for stylists. I've been styled multiple times, and I've styled people as well, but it's way more fun when you get to style yourself (That's A LOT of style lol). Sometimes your sense of fashion may not be up to its full potential, but that's why you can try new things until you find what best fits you.

Everyone is born with the ability of putting together the perfect outfit. All you have to do is open yourself to the endless possibilities of fashion.

Peace out my fellow owners of clothing.

The Real Collar

I love myself a nice Polo shirt. From its vibrant colors to its soft, cottony feel. I'd say the polo is an easy way out when you really aren't sure what to put on. It's safe. Maybe that's why you see almost everyone wearing them all the time (exaggeration).

I want to clarify a few things.
Number one: Polo is NOT A BRAND. I hear people saying "Oh it's Polo" all the time. Obviously they are referring to Ralph Lauren by the logo on their shirt, but come on people. Call it by the proper name.
Number two: Ralph Lauren did not invent the polo. Contrary to popular belief, the polo was originally created by Tennis player Rene Lacoste in 1926, hence the brand Lacoste. The Original Polo. Basically he thought the normal tennis wear to be too uncomfortable, so he designed a shirt with a longer tail and shorter front, short sleeved with a collar, and a buttoned placket. He wore it to the 1926 U.S Open Championship.

Imagine that. One of the most common fashion statements was created for a Tennis match. So next time you open your closet and throw on a polo, thank tennis and Lacoste.

P.S. I'd love to hear your feedback on my posts. Did you like it? Did you hate it? What would you like me to talk about next? Let me know. I'll definitely take the opinion of my readers into consideration. I appreciate you guys!!

Until next time my fellow owners of clothing

Who's B A C ??

Good night everyone, Sheldon here. You probably know me from my other blog, Envisionaryent.blogspot.com .. I decided that it is now time for me to join the fashion blogging world. No I'm not doing this to be part of the "hottest fad". I always have something to say about fashion, so hey, why not write it down?

The BAC, or Blog About Clothes is exactly what it's called. Blogging about any and everything that has to do with what we wear and how we wear it. Believe it or not, fashion is everywhere. SHOCKER. I'm even making a fashion statement with the blue and orange plaid pajama pants I have on right now (no shirt ladies).

Backstory on me? Well I'm a mystery... Just kidding. My name is Sheldon Maragh. I currently reside in Miami. I work for Urban Outfitters co. and my Major is Mass Communications. Straight like that. This blog is about clothes.. Not about me :). But again for the ladies I'll attach a photo so you'll know what I look like.

Other than that I wont hold you too long for now. Expect a post about the collared shirt soon.

Good night fellow owners of clothing.
